Typical Hunting Day
The early season hunt will consist mostly of local birds. However, as the weather changes in the north country, you will see a huge influx of northern birds. From mid-September until late November, huge flocks of Canada, Snow, and Whitefronted geese and huge Mallards stage in our area via the Central Flyway.
The actual hunting takes place in pea and grain fields, with a large spread of quality decoys and blinds. A typical day involves an early morning start with duck or goose hunting, then back to the lodge for lunch around 11am, perhaps a little rest and then out again for a duck or goose shoot in the late afternoon/early evening. Once back at camp for the night, you will have a hearty meal and time to swap some hunting tales.
