Hunting Conditions
For those of you who have never had the chance to visit Alberta, we need to
educate you on our fall weather. From the end of August until early October in
Alberta is harvest time and what we call "Indian Summer". This is one
of the most picturesque times of year, as the leaves are changing to their fall
colors and the farmers are out harvesting their crops. As well, you'll see large
flocks of birds hard at work, trying to eat their fill before their long journey
south.
However,
Indian Summer can also be one the of most unpredictable times of year weather-wise.
To make sure that your hunt is comfortable, appropriate rain gear and warm camo
clothing for cool fall mornings is recommended. It is not unheard of in this region
to have T-shirt and shorts weather one day and snow fall the next. The temperatures
can range from –15 deg C to +30 Deg C. We also recommend that you bring
hip waders as we do hunt on water from time to time.
